PhD and Post Doc positions available in Biomedical Engineering, Linköping University, Sweden

Thanks to the substantial financial support from the Wallenberg Center for Molecular Medicine, we are have initiated a rapid build-up of biomedical imaging and spectroscopy research projects/positions in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Linköping University, Sweden.  We are currently offering a total of 3 positions in the research area of quantitative spectral imaging of in vivo tissue.  A more detailed description of each project can be found in the links below.

General information:

  • Both PhD positions have secured funding for the entire expected duration of the program (5 years).
  • The Post Doc position is for 2 years with the potential for 2 additional years extension. Funding is secured over both time periods.
  • Salary levels at Linköping University are typically higher than what one would find in US institutions for both Post-Poc and PhD positions.
  • With ~90% of the entire Swedish population fluent in English, prior knowledge of Swedish is not required for these position, nor would any qualified candidate be required to learn as a condition of employment. Swedish language classes are offered for free by the university for any foreign student/employee should they have a desire to learn.
