(** We are available for direct inquiries related to this opening at the SPIE Photonics West conference between Feb. 1 to Feb. 6. Please email us to schedule **)

An opening is immediately available for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. We are looking for candidates with strong background in tomographic image reconstruction algorithms and clinical data analysis to develop our new generation tomographic optical breast imaging (TOBI) system.

Expected Role: The fellow will be involved in developing novel imaging analysis approaches related to diffuse optical tomography, an emerging non-invasive imaging technique. He/she will be responsible for analyzing the multi-modal clinical measurements acquired from our new generation TOBI system. The fellow will also investigate efficient image registration and segmentation algorithms that allow integration of TOBI into the clinical mammography systems.

Requirements: The candidate should have a PhD degree in biomedical/electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, physics, or related fields. This candidate should have a strong background in optical imaging data analysis and algorithm development. Experience in optical instrument development and clinical data analysis are preferred. Experience in programming such as MATLAB/C/FORTRAN will be favorably considered. Good writing and communication skills are required. The candidate is expected to be highly creative and strongly motivated in the research and is capable of working in a collaborative environment.
