VeraLight is a medical device company that was established in October 2004 to focus on a comprehensive approach to non-invasive type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes screening with the proprietary SCOUT DS™ system. Our mission is to help stem the tide of the worldwide diabetes epidemic by driving early diabetes detection, thus enabling initiation of therapies that can prevent diabetes or reduce its complications.
As our Scientific Programmer based out of our Albuquerque, NM office, your primary responsibility will be to work closely with our scientific and engineering teams to develop data analysis software, advance algorithm development and support our manufacturing and testing groups software tools. Expertise in vectorized MATLAB code is a necessity. Experience in applying a well-defined cycle of planning, analysis, review, and documentation will ensure your success as you support in-house instrument testing, bench experiments and clinical studies. Expertise with two or more of the following disciplines will put you ahead of the rest: managing LINUX clusters, MATLAB script/function or GUI development, numerical programming or machine learning and pattern recognition. Good verbal and written skills will allow you to communicate results and conclusions verbally at technical staff meetings and seminars via formal written reports. Above all, creativity, persistence and a demonstrated ability to work both multidisciplinary teams will allow you to get a jump start on what is promised to be a very rewarding career with a growing company.
